We build and operate automated factories for composite materials, delivering components to Tier 1 and OEMs. The business has 3 main divisions that focus on the development of automated production machines, development of software design and production tools and lastly the operation of the factory.
Now working with >25 customers (multiple leading OEMs) and earlier this year we completed the largest ever Series A in composites manufacturing (link) to fuel a significant scale-up with growth plans that will see the business multiply in size over the next 2-3 years and expand operations into Europe and the US.
The business currently has facilities in Gloucester UK (Factory 1), Bristol UK (Hardware R&D Centre) and in Athens GR (Software R&D Centre).

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our exciting growing business. You will be responsible for performing a series of analyses to budget, plan and strategise business initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of extracting and understanding financial data to identify better operational decisions and improve overall performance of the business.
You will enjoy an aptitude for and interest in maths, numbers and business, combined with a good foundation in accounting skills. Able to see the big picture of an organisation are useful skills.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee day to day accounting functions and the accounting team.
- Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents.
- Analysing profit and loss and measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial records, recommending improvements where needed.
- Analyse the historical financial data of the company to help estimate future revenues and expenses, create budgets, cashflows and generate internal reports which are used to make planning decisions.
- Working with PM’s to negotiate and analyse projects and grants
- Making financial forecasts.
- Helping the management team to make financial decisions.
- Preparing financial statements and reviews.
- Help create and communicate business strategies.
- Planning medium- and long-term business actions.
- Good at communicating with other department managers.
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management.
- Performing audits of departments within the organisation.
What do we need from you?
- Proven working experience as a Management Accountant.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting; CMA or similar preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user (experience of Syspro beneficial but not essential).
